Studie 20.18/6-30
Vieles im Leben passiert rein zufällig so sagen viele Menschen. Ich jedoch sage, dass es Entwicklung ist und man aufmerksam sein sollte. Ich saß Anfang August bei mir vor dem Atelier bei einer Tasse Kaffee und sah den Schatten eines Transparenten Objektes „INTERESSANT“ dachte ich und holte einen 8cm großen Würfel aus Plexiglas raus und stellte ihn in die Sonne auf einen neutralen Untergrund. Der Schatten und die Spiegelungen die sich ergaben faszinierten mich und wenn man das ganze von Oben betrachtete sah man Vierecke, Dreiecke, Trapeze in unterschiedlichen Grautönen.
Irgendwie ließ mich dieser Moment nicht mehr los und beschloss eine kleine Studie daraus zu machen. Die Studie sollte sechs Würfel enthalten, je Würfel in einem Format von 30cm und in unterschiedlichen Oberflächen und Materialien.

Schwarz und Weis die als Referenzpunkte. Silber und Gold, die das licht kalt oder warm reflektieren.Ein kleiner KUBUS aus Holz und einen Transparenten aus Plexiglas der die Initialzündung war.
Ich war gespannt was passieren würde. Also theoretisch wusste ich wie die Würfel platzieren möchte und machte ein paar Skizzen um es zu visualisieren.“

UND wo sollte man so eine Studie nicht besser durchführen können als im Land des unbeschreiblichen Lichtes der Provence. Also habe ich mich, wie so viele andere Künstler vor mir, auf den Weg gemacht um dieses fantastische Licht zu sehen und zu erleben und meine kleine Sommerstudie dort durch zu führen.
…. ABER ! am ende ist etwas passiert das ich so nicht erwartet habe!

Ich wurde reichlich belohnt und bin voll auf meine Kosten gekommen. Und habe außer den 6 Würfeln, auch noch einige Ideen mit nach Hause gebracht.

Study 20.18/6-30
Many things in life happen by pure chance, many people say. I say, that it is development and you should be attentive. I sat in the beginn of Augus in front of my studio with a cup of coffee and saw the shadow of a transparent object „INTEREST“ I thought and got out a small 8cm large cube of Plexiglas and placed it in the sun on a neutral underground. I was fascinated by the shadow and the reflections that came out and I couldn’t let go. If one looked at the whole from saw squares, triangles, trapezes in different grey tones.
Somehow this moment didn’t let me go and decided to make a small study out of it.
The study should contain six cubes, each cube in a format of 30cm and in different surfaces and materials.

A small KUBUS made of wood and a transparent made of Plexiglas which was the initial ignition. I was curious what would happen.
So theoretically I knew how to place the cubes or we could say „I had a hunch“.
.. BUT ! at the end something happened that I didn’t expect!
AND WHERE one should not be able to carry out such a study better than in the land of the indescribable light of Provence. So, like so many other artists before me, I set out to see this fantastic light and do my little summer study.
I was richly rewarded and got my money’s worth. And besides the 6 dice, I also brought some ideas with me.
